In fact, 20 percent of the electricity consumed by the factory in Alcañiz comes from the 25,000 square meters of photovoltaic solar panels installed on the roofs of the various buildings that make up the industrial complex. This investment, made last year, is valued at 1.5 million euros. ISO 50001 is an international standard that establishes the requirements for creating, implementing, maintaining, and improving management systems so that organizations can achieve greater efficiency, safety, and optimized energy consumption. “For us, obtaining this ISO certification has been a natural and necessary step to properly validate and guarantee our commitment to the sustainable use of energy and respect for the environment,” explains CEO Daniel Miquel. It is important to highlight that the company has invested over €85 million in R&D and technology, making Oxaquim the cleanest and most efficient oxalic acid manufacturer in the world.
