They can be used in new build or in the development of existing constructions. Method of Build The resilient bars must be fixed at a 90 degrees angle to stud work framing to the ceilings or wall. The narrow flange must be fixed to the bottom along with the fixing flange to the top using the preferred fixing. Installation at 400mm centres is recommended for single boarded systems, while 600mm centres is for double boarded systems. Resilient bars should be installed at 400mm centres for ceilings.
