La Matriz anuncia ya la Romería del Rocío con un cartel de José Cabrera. La Romería del Rocío de 2022 ya tiene cartel anunciador. Se ha presentado esta tarde en la Parroquia de Ntra. Sra. de la Asunción, en Almonte. Su autor, el artista sevillano José Cabrera Lasso de la Vega, ha destacado la emoción que ha supuesto para él realizar esta obra. El cartel ha sido pintado en una técnica mixta de acrílico, óleo y pasta de oro, sobre una tabla previamente tratada. La Virgen del Rocío y el Pastorcito aparecen rodeados del entorno natural de Doñana, entre una esbozada arboleda donde se descubren aves autóctonas, mariposas y otras especies, haciendo alusión también al diseño de las nuevas andas procesionales. Flanquea a la Patrona de Almonte la mágica luz que desprenden las bengalas del Santo Rosario que antecede su salida triunfal, a hombros de los almonteños. TL;DR: Borderland’s de-centralized leadership principle has three caveats: some Borderlings don’t get the process, some Borderlings find it difficult to engage in the process, some Borderlings think that the process simply does not work. That begs the question: is decentralized leadership a core value of the whole Community, and if so, how can we live up to it?As a sort of fork from @anjalimenon ‘s discussion on the dissemination of community values, I wanted to raise three specific questions regarding values attached to modes of leadership. Much of Borderland’s core (infra-)structure is co-created through advice processes, following an idea that leadership is de-centralized and anyone can take up leadership roles. This has, at some point (although I could not find documentation where) been agreed upon as our form of organizing, collaborating and co-creating. Personally, I love the idea and I am convinced we can make the magic work. However, if recent Facebook and Talk conversations are any indication, there are three caveats on how the process is perceived and lived, which I believe we need to address in moving forward. Caveat A: Not everybody understands (that) this process (is in place).Decentralized leadership is not a very common form of organizing. Having a say in key decisions and taking initiative to assume responsibilities may be typical for Scandinavian work cultures, and might therefore give an easier entry to the Borderland organization for people with a Nordic (work) background. Yet, many of us are rather used to hierarchical systems with clearly appointed decision-power, which creates the expectation that somebody needs to give you permission to do something, or even will assign you a task. Co-creation and absence of appointed leadership is something that most of us need to learn, and that does not come natural to everyone.This does not only relate to Virgins, but also to Burners from different Burn cultures whe
