The ASTB (Aviation Selection Test Battery) is used by the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard to select candidates for pilot and flight officer training programs. A shorter version of the ASTB called the Officer Aptitude Rating (OAR) is used by the U.S. Navy to select candidates for Officer Candidate School (OCS). The ASTB incorporates 7 subtests, including the 3 subtests in the OAR. In addition, it includes the Aviation and Nautical Information Test (ANIT), Naval Aviation Trait Facet Inventory (NAFTI), Performance Based Measures Battery (PBM), and the Biographical Inventory with Response Validation (BI-RV). This app has lessons covering all of the tests discussed above so that the app will prepare you for the ASTB or OAR.
