The Qatar Diabetes Association (QDA) is a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF). With support from His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, and under the auspices of H.H. Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser the Chairperson of QF. QDA was established in 1995 to support adults, children and families living with diabetes in managing the disease in order to achieve good diabetes control, avoid debilitating complications and maintain good quality of life. QDA has become an active member of the International Diabetes Federation in 1997 to share knowledge and best practices. Since its inception, QDA has been assiduously offering patient – centered care and working diligently on community awareness on diabetes prevention with a specialized dedicated medical team.
