Overlines - A line of 6 or more stones of the same color will not result in a win. + RENJU: Black (the player who makes the first move - X) has long been known to have an advantage. Renju attempts to mitigate this imbalance with extra rules that aim to reduce black's first player advantage There are certain moves that Black (X) is not allowed to make: - Double three – Black cannot place a stone that builds two separate lines with three black stones in unbroken rows (i.e. rows not blocked by an opponent's stone at either end). - Double four – Black cannot place a stone that builds two separate lines with four black stones in a row. - Overline – six or more black stones in a row.
