SCADAfarm is designed to work with the farms existing control systems, such as irrigation and pump controllers. SCADAfarm uses commercially available hardware and software used widely in mining, petrochemical, water and waste water industries, and has applications written specifically for the New Zealand agriculture industry. The huge advantage of this approach is that the hardware and software platforms are future proof, eliminating the risk to the farmer of the product becoming obsolete after a few years. These products are continually being developed and improved, which leaves us to focus on tailoring the system for the New Zealand farmer.
