Our Pills Talk is an app designed to assist the visually-impaired, dyslectic, autistic, the elderly, ESL (English-as-a-Second Language) patients, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders, and those of us too lazy to read our medication labels. Briefly, the dispensing pharmacist generates your personalized QR Barcode, then sticks it onto the medication box. TEXT TO SPEECH Using the app to scan the QR Barcode will convert the doctor’s prescription information and instructions from text-to-speech, so that you can confirm that you're about to take the correct medication. FOREIGN LANGUAGES: The app can also translate the medication instructions into dozens of languages. MEDICATION HISTORY: Details of your scanned medications are kept in the app so you can show a doctor, or emergency medical staff, should the need arise. REMINDER ALARMS: The app also allows you to set alarms to remind you when it's time to take the medicine and when it's time to get a prescription refill.
