With the "eAusweise" app, you can easily, securely, and digitally present your driver's license, registration details, proof of identity, and proof of age in Austria on your smartphone – during a traffic check or in private. Share your data simply at the touch of a button and completely contactless. No data is transferred without your consent. How it works: 1. Log in to the "ID Austria" app with your ID Austria or an eIDAS-notified eID (as defined in Art. 6 (1) of the eIDAS Regulation). 2. Download the "eAusweise" app for free. 3. Unlock the app using your fingerprint, facial recognition, or device password. 4. Upload your digital IDs to the "eAusweise" app using the full-function ID Austria or an eIDAS-notified eID (as defined in Art. 6 (1) of the eIDAS Regulation) (in this case, the data must be available in an Austrian register). 5. During a verification, simply present the QR code created in the app for your digital ID. Your counterpart scans the QR code and can retrieve the required data. Technical interfaces are available for verification by the Austrian executive branch, but not for verification by foreign authorities. You will need: · The "ID Austria" app installed on the same device · An ID Austria with full functionality (more information can be found at ida.gv.at) or an eIDAS-notified eID (as defined in Art. 6 (1) of the eIDAS Regulation) · Activated fingerprint function or facial recognition. Alternatively, an activated device password. · For the digital driver's license: a valid Austrian credit card driver's license. · For the digital registration data: a vehicle registration certificate issued in Austria. No new user account is required for the "eAusweise" app; you simply identify yourself using your ID Austria. ID Austria is the next generation of the Handy-Signatur and offers secure two-factor authentication for digital services. To do so, log in to the "ID Austria" app with your ID Austria and allow the "eAusweise" app to access the required information. Both apps are secured by fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, or adevice password. The app is continuously being developed and new credentials will be added in the future.
