Here’s how it works: • Choose a language. • Connect with your interpreter. • Tell your interpreter what you want to say to the non-English speaking person you’re having a conversation with. • The interpreter repeats what you said in the other person’s language and interprets their comments or questions back to you in English. • When your conversation is finished, disconnect. • You will be charged on a per minute basis at a rate of $1.99 per minute. If you don’t know the language of the person with whom you’re trying to communicate: • View CiCi’s list of languages – shown in English and in native script. • Show the person of the other language your phone to help them identify their language. • 99% of people can identify their language by looking at the list. • If this doesn’t work, just push the button for English (or your native language) and tell the operator you need help identifying the language or dialect of the person you’re with.
