Analyse de l'application Tricky Gem pour le 18 octobre

Tricky Gem is an offline-first vegetable ferment crock log for home sauerkraut and pickle keepers who run one named crock batch at a time—not a generic food journal. Open the app to a fullscreen crock timeline: a vertical day rail from Day 0 (pack) through burp and taste checkpoints to the projected ready date. A sticky header locks the active crock name, veg type, salt %, brine volume, and start date in view so every checkpoint stays glanceable. Batch setup is built for real kitchen work. Enter vegetable weight and salt grams with a live salt % calculator, set target brine volume and crock vessel size, and add optional starter notes. Seed recipes for classic sauerkraut, garlic-dill spears, spicy carrots, and mixed root pre-fill salt % and suggested day counts so a new crock starts in seconds. On each day chip, log burps in one tap—burped, skipped, or overflow—with optional foam or scum flags. Capture taste on a strip per day: crisp, tangy, sour, or off, plus a free-text bite note and star readiness feel. Add pH readings on selected days with numeric entry and color bands for safe, watch, or discard guidance (typed guidance only). A ready-date projector uses your start date plus typical durations for kraut, dill pickles, carrots, or a custom window you set. When the projected ready day arrives, a local scheduled ping via on-device scheduling reminds you—no account and no cloud required. Finished and abandoned batches move into the crock archive with final salt %, days fermented, and last taste summary. Choose grams or ounces, ml or cups, and a default burp reminder interval; preferences stay stored locally on your device. Keep salt weight, brine, burps, taste, and pH on one fermentation timeline so kraut and pickles finish safely and on time—without spreadsheets.
