But the bots aren't perfect either: sometimes they forget their “Mau” – tap the button in time and the bot has to draw two cards. Prefer a relaxed game? Set the call to “Automatically” or switch it off. If you can't, you draw a card. If that one doesn't fit either, the next player goes. • 7 – the next player draws 2 cards and skips a turn. Play your own 7 to pass it on – the penalty cards add up • 8 – the next player skips a turn • Jack – you choose the suit. A Jack can be played on any card except another Jack The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the round. Everyone else counts the cards left in hand as penalty points: Jack 20, Ace 11, Ten 10, King 4, Queen 3, Nine 0, all other cards at face value. Go over 101 points and you're out – the last player standing wins. YOUR HOUSE RULES Everyone plays Mau Mau a little differently. In the settings you can add more special cards – such as the Ace, Six, Ten or King of Spades – or switch to Prší, Pesten, Makao or “101” altogether. ONLINE Online games are currently played by the rules of the “101” variant (the Queen chooses the suit, after an 8 you play again). The Mau-Mau rules and the Mau button are available in games against the bots. If someone leaves an online game, a bot takes their seat.
