To do this, Letterly uses Android AccessibilityService API to find the text field you are typing in and place your dictated text there. When you dictate, your audio recording is sent to Letterly servers and transcription/AI service providers to turn your speech into text and create the final result. Letterly does not use Android AccessibilityService API to read passwords, payment fields, or banking fields, record calls, change your device settings, bypass Android privacy controls, or control your device without your action. You can turn this feature off anytime in Android Accessibility settings.
