Take control of your viewing and listening experience. FilterTube brings Main and Kids viewing, API Music, podcasts, offline media and powerful filtering to Android phones and tablets. Choose what appears in your viewing space, reduce distractions and keep separate rules for every profile and cross device p2p sync. Every feature remains free. No FilterTube account is required. MAIN AND KIDS VIEWING • Browse personalised feeds, subscriptions, channels, playlists and history with an optionally linked API account. • Continue watching from your recent activity. • Create playlists, save videos and manage playback queues. • Keep video notes and reopen saved moments. • Use parent-managed Kids viewing with independent filtering rules. FILTERING THAT YOU CONTROL • Block videos using keywords, topics and dates. • Block or allow channels by handle or channel ID. • Keep separate Blocked and Allowed collections. • Build approved-only viewing spaces with Whitelist Mode. • Hide Shorts, comments, live chat and supported advertising or promotional placements. • Filter comments using keywords. • Apply rules across supported feeds and recommendations. Filtering coverage can vary as API responses and playback systems change. API MUSIC AND PODCASTS • Discover music through Home and Explore. • Browse new releases, charts, moods and genres. • Explore artists, songs, albums and playlists. • Browse podcasts, shows and episodes. • Access account-linked library collections where available. • Switch between audio and video for supported content. • View available lyrics and manage your listening queue. • Continue listening in the background with notification controls. OFFLINE MEDIA Save supported videos, audio, albums and finite playlists for later listening or viewing. • Choose from available video qualities or audio-only formats. • Monitor downloads and pause, retry or cancel them. • Find saved items and grouped collections in Offline media. • Play downloaded content through FilterTube’s local audio and video players. • Browse device files, folders, albums and artists. • View available artwork and metadata, maintain favourites and create playback queues. • Share or save a public copy of supported completed downloads. Live streams, mixes and some protected or unavailable sources cannot be saved as complete offline collections. Download availability and quality depend on the source. Downloads belong to the device where they are saved; syncing settings does not transfer downloaded media. PROFILES AND PARENTAL CONTROLS • Separate Default, Account and Child profiles. • Independent rules and account links for each profile. • Master PIN and profile PIN protection. • Protected imports, exports and sensitive controls. • Viewing-time limits with a visible lock screen. • Voluntary Self-Control sessions that temporarily lock selected settings. BACKUP AND DEVICE SYNCHRONISATION • Import and export profile-aware backups. • Use encrypted backups for protected profiles. • Pair your own devices with Nanah P2P private and safely. • Verify a safety phrase and select which supported profiles and settings to send. • Keep trusted parent-to-child links for managed updates. Nanah uses a signalling relay to help paired devices connect. Supported transfers take place directly between verified devices when a direct connection is available. PRIVATE AND LOCAL-FIRST Filtering rules, profile settings and local-media processing are stored on your device. Backups, sharing and device transfers happen when you choose to use them. Optional API account sign-in enables account-backed features such as personalised feeds, subscriptions, playlists and history. Notifications provide playback controls and active download progress. FilterTube does not send promotional notifications. FilterTube is an independent, open-source project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the services it accesses.
