Choose which apps go online. Firewall AI is a no-root firewall for Android that lets you block internet access per app, manage Wi-Fi and cellular data separately, and see where your apps connect. Keep the connections you need and restrict those you do not. An app may contact advertising, analytics or other services in the background. The intrusion prevention system, or IPS, uses filter lists to help block known malicious and tracking destinations. The filter lists cover more than 10 million domains. This adds destination-based filtering to your own app rules: control which apps can connect and use selected filters to limit unwanted destinations. DNS settings and tracker control Choose a DNS provider or configure a custom DNS server. DNS-based filtering can help block requests to listed advertising, tracking and phishing domains. Why Android asks for VPN permission Firewall AI uses Android's VpnService to direct network traffic through a local interface for filtering on your device. It does not send that traffic through an external VPN server and does not change your location or hide your public IP address. Android supports one active VPN service per user profile. Firewall AI therefore cannot run alongside another active VPN in the same profile. Local control, clear privacy The app has no ads. Your rules and connection logs are stored on your device. DNS requests and functions such as updates, licensing or optional online lookups may use external services; the privacy policy explains the details. Encrypted chat and HTTPS content is not decrypted. Set your first rules Install Firewall AI, approve the VPN request and configure your most-used apps. Review the log and adjust access as needed.
