Verses is a quiet, beautiful home for the classic poetry that has lasted — hundreds of poems from the great poets of the English language, set with the care of a fine-press book. No clutter, no account, no noise. Just open the app and read. A LIBRARY OF THE CLASSICS Browse hundreds of poets — Emily Dickinson, William Shakespeare, William Blake, William Wordsworth, Walt Whitman, John Keats, Edgar Allan Poe and many more — and thousands of their poems. Sort poets alphabetically, by era, or by how prolific they were, and place each writer in their time. A READER MADE FOR POETRY Every poem is set in the elegant EB Garamond typeface, with drop caps, generous line spacing and the poet's own layout preserved. Swipe between poems like turning the pages of a book. Choose your typeface and text size, and read in six themes — three light, three dark — for comfortable reading by day or night. UNDERSTAND EVERY LINE Famous poems include thoughtful, stanza-by-stanza commentary that opens up the meaning, imagery and craft behind the words — a companion for students, teachers and lifelong readers alike. A POEM EVERY DAY Discover a classic each morning with Poem of the Day, with an optional gentle daily reminder so a moment of poetry always finds you. FIND ANYTHING, FAST Search by title, by a half-remembered line, or by poet. Or browse by theme — love, nature, death, faith, freedom, time and more — to find exactly the mood you're after. YOUR OWN COLLECTION Bookmark the poems you love and keep track of what you've read. Sort your saved poems by date, by poet, or by relevance, and export or import your bookmarks so your collection is never lost when you change phones. WORKS OFFLINE The entire library lives on your device. Read anywhere — on a plane, on a trail, with no signal at all — no internet connection required.
