Hebrew Greek and English Bible is a Bible study app for reading the Scriptures in the languages they were written in. It has a word-by-word interlinear of the whole Bible, a Hebrew and Greek lexicon with 22,796 entries, ten versions side by side, and the complete King James Version. All of it works without an internet connection. WHAT YOU CAN DO IN THE APP Read Hebrew and Greek word by word The interlinear covers the whole Bible: the Old Testament in Hebrew, the New Testament in Greek, 447,161 words across 1,189 chapters. Under each original word you see how it is pronounced and what it means, so you can follow the verse even without knowing the alphabet. Pronunciation and meaning can each be shown or hidden. Tap a word for the full entry Touch any word and a card opens with its Strong's number, its complete grammatical parsing - part of speech, stem, tense, person, gender, number - and the full lexicon definition with every shade of meaning. Hebrew words are broken into their morphemes, so a prefix and a suffix are each explained on their own. Everything is on your device: no connection needed. Search the lexicon in plain English 22,796 entries, of which 5,454 are people and places. Type an English meaning such as "light" or "covenant" and see every Hebrew and Greek word behind it; type a Strong's number and go straight to it; or type a name and read who that person was. The search can be narrowed to Hebrew, Greek, or people and places. Put ten versions side by side The Parallel Bible shows up to four versions at a time, chosen from ten: the Hebrew text, the Greek New Testament, two Hebrew transliterations, Paleo-Hebrew and five English translations - King James, American Standard, Geneva, World English Bible and Young's Literal. Read a devotional each morning A short daily text with a verse, a meditation and a prayer, also in audio. Study the Bible by theme Messages grouped into twelve themes, from love and comfort to wisdom and justice. There are also daily Bible studies, one for each day. Follow a one-year reading plan The Bible across 365 days, with the chapters for each day, a space for notes and your progress by month. WHERE THE CONTENT COMES FROM The biblical texts are in the public domain: the Westminster Leningrad Codex in Hebrew, the Textus Receptus in Greek, and the English translations. The word-by-word tagging, the grammatical parsing, the lexicon and the proper names come from STEPBible Data, created by Tyndale House, Cambridge, and used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. Nothing in this app is generated by artificial intelligence.
