정진세 부교수(연세의대 이비인후과)가 19일 열린 대한의사협회 제78차 정기대의원총회에서 제33회 의당학술상을 수상했다.연구논문은 '비바이러스 전달체를 이용한 유전자 편집기의 내이 전달을 통한 유전성 난청의 치료법 개발'이다.유전성 난청은 가장 흔한 감각기 질환 중 하나이지만 아직까지 그 치료제가 없는 실정이다.지난 15년간 유전질환에 대한 유전학적 진단법은 NGS의 개발에 힘입어 많이 발전했고, 난청의 원인 유전자를 상당부분 밝혀냈지만, 이에 반해 유전성 난청의 치료법 개발은 아직 많은 부분의 발전이 필요한 상황이다
