This trail begins at the Glen Falls parking area. From Highlands, head down NC Highway 106 for approximately 1.7 miles. Look for the sign to Glen Falls on the left and upon turning, the gravel road to the falls (SR1618) immediately veers off to the right. The road leads to the parking area after about a mile. At the parking area, take the trail to the right. The hike is 1.8 miles long and takes about 2 to 2.5 hours. Make sure to follow the signs because this trail will intersect with another trail that will take you to Dillard Road. There are several creek crossings and upon reaching the top, there are 5 “lookouts.” Return the way you came.
