We are also planning to introduce a 10-round compliant version for those in the United States that are 10 rounds only.  The Marlin 556-XT features a slight ramp on the front top of the magazine to allow the bullet to easily travel from the magazine to the gun barrel hole. This has made feeding and cycling the magazine work very well. Please Note, If your current 7 round magazine is not sitting secure when inserted into the rifle and you find a lot of movement back and forth wait to purchase, as we are making a bottom magazine clip out of spring steel that will secure the magazine into place and remove any looseness.
