At its basic level, Gnosticism is a term coined by English philosopher Henry More in the 17th century to describe some heretical Christians in the Book of Revelation. More than just reading the King James Version or any other versions of the Bible, Biblical Research involves studying the original texts in their native languages, paying acute attention to the context of each passage, comparing each use of a word or phrase to see the context of how it is used, and educating oneself on the many customs and figures of speech used during the times in which the Bible was written.
