HOW THE VERDICT WORKS HALAL and HARAM mean a clear keyword match. DOUBTFUL means an ingredient's origin is unclear, such as gelatine or mono- and diglycerides of unspecified source. UNKNOWN means there isn't enough ingredient information. When in doubt, always check the packaging and the official halal certification — this app is a tool to help you, not a religious ruling.
