Each Sanskrit word is shown with its meaning. Use the app itself in English, Hindi, German, Swedish or Spanish. LISTEN TO EVERY SHLOKA Hear the Sanskrit recitation of each verse, and the word being recited is highlighted as you listen. Straight after, a recorded narrator reads the meaning in your language, free for every verse. You can also choose your iPhone's own voice. EVERY VERSE, EXPLAINED Each verse comes with an explanation written for today: the scene on the battlefield, what the verse means, and one Sanskrit word worth knowing. There are explanations for all 701 verses in English and Hindi, in text and audio, and an overview of each of the 18 chapters in all 13 languages. The explanation of verse 1.1 and the chapter 1 overview are open to everyone; the rest are part of Updesh Premium. SADHANA: BHAJANS, AARTI AND CALM MUSIC The Sadhana tab gathers Gita-inspired bhajans and aartis, with the lyrics on screen so you can sing along, and instrumental music for work, prayer, study, rest and sleep. A VERSE EACH DAY Start the day with a verse, with a reminder at the time you choose and Home Screen widgets that show the verse of the day with its meaning. Save the verses you want to return to and pick up where you left off. A PRIVATE REFLECTION JOURNAL Write down what a verse means to you.
