Sea of Tales is a roguelite about running a ship. You hire a crew in port, assign them to roles, buy cargo, and pick a route along a procedurally generated coast. The voyage then plays out on its own — how it goes depends on the crew and the ship you put together ashore. Every run ends eventually; the goal is to get further than last time. CREW Recruit from 114 named sailors, each with their own portrait, six stats, and a rarity from common to legendary. A good pilot or cook changes a whole run, and the rarest sailors can take many runs to find. ROLES Assign your crew to seven roles: captain, pilot, deckhand, carpenter, cook, fisher, and a resting berth. Every role affects how the ship performs at sea, and you cannot reassign anyone until the next port. TRADING Buy and sell 28 goods across ports where prices differ and shift over time. Balance cargo space between trade goods and the food your crew needs, or take a risk on contraband. THE COAST Each run generates a new route from 101 kinds of harbour: market towns, shipyards, cathedral ports, banking cities, ghost harbours, smugglers' coves, and stranger places. Ports offer different services and rooms depending on their kind, so where you stop matters. QUESTS Take on nine kinds of commission from the people you meet in port — deliveries, passengers, and jobs that are not always what they seem. THE KRAKEN A kraken follows every run, and it gets closer the longer you sail. Sea of Tales has no ads, no account, and it plays fully offline.
