В РГПУ им. А. И. Герцена завершилась Педагогическая ассамблея коренных малочисленных народов Севера, Сибири и Дальнего Востока, посвященная 95-летию Института народов Севера. Деловая программа мероприятия включала круглые столы, презентации и мастер-классы, обсуждение вопросов сохранения языков, традиций и роли института в подготовке кадров для регионов. Культурную программу украсил гала-концерт с участием коллективов из Камчатского края, Якутии, Ямала, Хабаровского края и других регионов проживания коренных народов. Сегодня образовательная программа Института включает изучение более 20 языков, участие студентов в полевых исследованиях, углубленное изучение этнографического музееведения, фольклористики. Внеучебные мероприятия включают фестивали, конкурсы и сотрудничество с музеями — что способствует сохранению, развитию и популяризации культурного наследия традиций коренных народов. «Выпускники нашего института очень востребованы, поскольку для работодателей РГПУ им. Герцена - это показатель высокого качества подготовки специалиста. В регионах это очень ценится», - отметила директор Института народов Севера Софья Урун. Профессор кафедры этнокультурологии Татьяна Булгакова подчеркнула ключевую роль Института в формировании этнокультурной и общероссийской гражданской идентичности, сохранении традиций коренных народов России. В настоящее время в институте обучается более 250 студентов из 28 регионов России, представляющих 22 этнические группы, в том числе - 156 человек из числа коренных малочисленных народов.
