Le boycott consommateur vise des entreprises et institutions privées afin qu’elles cessent leur complicité avec l’occupation et l’apartheid israélien. Le mouvement BDS appelle au boycott de tous les produits israéliens. En effet, toutes les entreprises israéliennes sont complices à un certain degré des violations du droit international commis par leur État, ne serait-ce qu’en profitant des structures et pratiques économiques discriminatoires existantes de ce pays quant à l’accès aux ressources et en contribuant à son économie générale qui permet à ce régime d’apartheid de persister. Beaucoup de compagnies internationales sont également impliquées dans le maintien du régime discriminatoire israélien. Pour maximiser l’impact du boycott, il est plus efficace de le concentrer sur un nombre restreint d’entreprises et de produits qui sont étroitement liés aux violations israéliennes du droit international. BDS appelle ainsi à un boycott ciblé d’un certain nombre de marques qui soutiennent et encouragent ces crimes, notamment en opérant dans les colonies illégales ou en agissant en tant que sous-traitantes de l’armée et du gouvernement israélien. Toute relation commerciale avec ces entreprises constitue une forme de soutien direct au régime d’apartheid.IntelEn décembre 2023, en plein génocide israélien à Gaza, Intel a annoncé qu’il investirait 25 milliards de dollars dans l’État d’apartheid israélien.
