The Flying Ace (1926) is the only surviving film from Norman Studios, one of the first studios to cast African-American actors in leading roles. In celebration of 100th anniversary, the Jacksonville Symphony has commissioned a new orchestral score from six Black composers to accompany the film. Music Director Courtney Lewis will conduct the world premiere on Saturday, November 14, 2026, as the Symphony performs live alongside a projected screening of the historic film.
