The easiest, cheapest and most advanced way to track your %SS (Percentage of stuttered syllables). The Disfluency Index Counter app allows Speech and Language Therapists to perform a live count of the number of fluent or disfluent syllables. This application comes with two styles of counters: A simple and an advanced counter. The simple version of the Disfluency Index Counter uses two simple buttons that record the amount of times the SLP pushes the buttons. There is an "F" button for a Fluency Syllable & and a "D" button for a disfluent/stuttered syllable. A live track of the total number of syllables recorded is shown on the main screen as well as the number of fluent and disfluent syllables/words entered. Once you are finished with your data collection you press "Done" to see the results. Disfluency Index Counter provides the following results: 1. Total number of words/syllables: 2. Number of fluent words/syllables: 3. Number of disfluent words/syllables: 4. The percentage of fluent words/syllables: 4. The percentage of disfluent words/syllables. The advanced counter allows therapists to specifically identify the types of disfluencies exhibited by the client. The SLP can choose from Block, Prolongation or Repetition.
