PilotFriend is a suite of 14 quick-reference tools designed for professional pilots and air crew. Every tool is optimised for fast, accurate use in the cockpit or briefing room. *** YOUR FLIGHT *** Save your callsign, registration, route, and crew numbers before departure. Instantly access weather, airport info, and live tracking for any leg of your flight. Stores your flight brief for quick reference throughout the duty. *** METAR & TAF *** Decode live METAR and TAF reports from any ICAO airport worldwide. Raw and decoded views with colour-coded severity indicators for wind, visibility, cloud, and weather phenomena. *** CROSSWIND CALCULATOR *** Enter runway heading and wind, get instant headwind, crosswind, and tailwind components, including gust. Set your own aircraft-specific crosswind, headwind, and tailwind limits for a personalised go/no-go check. Includes a visual wind diagram. *** REST TIME CALCULATOR *** Calculate equal-interval crew rest breaks for augmented operations. Enter the rest period start and finish time and the number of breaks required, the app does the rest. *** HOLDING ENDURANCE *** Enter fuel on board and burn rate, then account for alternate fuel, final reserve, and approach fuel. Instantly see your available holding time above all stated reserves. *** AIRPORTS *** Search over 70,000 airports worldwide. Each airport page shows a live runway diagram with lighting status, displaced thresholds, surface type, and LDA where applicable. Includes frequencies, elevation, coordinates, and airport type. *** VOLMET DIRECTORY *** A searchable directory of global VOLMET radio stations with frequencies, regions, and coverage areas. Essential for long-haul oceanic and remote operations. *** TIME CALCULATOR *** Add and subtract Zulu times with ease. Enter multiple HH:MM values, toggle each as an addition or subtraction, and get an instant result. Includes a built-in H:MM to decimal hours converter — useful for block time logging and FDP calculations. *** ISA DEVIATION *** Calculate the International Standard Atmosphere temperature at any altitude and derive density altitude, useful for performance calculations and understanding reported OAT in context. *** 3° DESCENT PLANNER *** Two-way 3° descent calculator: enter altitude to lose and get start-of-descent distance, or enter distance to go and get the required descent altitude. Based on the standard 3× rule. *** RECIPROCAL HEADING *** Instantly compute the reciprocal of any magnetic heading. *** TEMPERATURE CONVERTER *** Clean °C ↔ °F converter with a live result display. *** ALTITUDE CONVERTER *** Convert between feet and metres with a single tap. Automatically derives the Flight Level when converting to feet, particularly useful when operating in RVSM airspace or transitioning between metric and imperial altitudes. *** QNH CONVERTER *** Convert between hPa and inHg instantly. Type four digits and the decimal point is inserted automatically — just enter 2992 and get 29.92 inHg. Includes ISA standard pressure reference. --- For reference only. PilotFriend does not replace official documentation, AIPs, NOTAMs, or the operating manuals and procedures of your operator. Always verify critical information through official sources before flight.
