HomeFreeze is the backup and monitoring tool that Apple never built for HomeKit. It captures your entire smart home configuration -- homes, rooms, accessories, scenes, automations, zones, and service groups -- so you always have a reference point if something goes wrong. Please be aware of API and Backup/Restore limitations of Apple. FULL CONFIGURATION SNAPSHOTS Create point-in-time backups of your complete HomeKit setup, including accessory metadata, services, characteristic values, scene actions, automation triggers, and more. Compare any two snapshots side-by-side to see exactly what changed, with tap-to-expand details for every modification. RESTORE ASSISTANCE Recreate rooms, zones, scenes, and service groups from any backup. HomeFreeze tells you exactly what to set up so you can rebuild your smart home with confidence. SHORTCUTS & SIRI Five HomeFreeze actions in the Shortcuts app and in Siri: create a backup, run the HomeKit Doctor, check one accessory, compare the last two backups, ignore or monitor a device. Trigger them by time of day, by leaving home, or from a Home app alert, and your smart home backs itself up and diagnoses itself. A built-in recipe gallery installs ready-made automations in one tap. LATENCY MONITOR Measure how quickly every accessory responds and identify slow devices that could impact your automations. Results are color-coded (green, orange, red) with per-device scene and automation tags so you know exactly which workflows are at risk. Run continuous measurement iterations for more reliable averages. Save sessions to history for trend comparison. SLEEPING DEVICE DETECTION Battery-powered devices like Tado TRVs and sensors that report as unreachable due to sleep mode are displayed separately from truly unreachable devices. No more false alarms -- know the difference between a real problem and normal behavior. ISSUES & IMPACT ANALYSIS When devices go unreachable or become blocked, HomeFreeze shows you the full impact: which scenes won't execute and which automations are affected. Tap the issue count on the Dashboard for instant diagnostics. MATTER & THREAD TOPOLOGY Visualize your Thread network with an interactive topology diagram showing border routers, routers, and end devices. Discover Thread Border Routers via live mDNS scanning with network name, Thread version, and Extended PAN ID details. Monitor border router availability in the background. CODE VAULT Securely store HomeKit, Matter, and Thread setup codes. Scan QR codes from device packaging, attach label photos, and organize entries with tags. Protected by Face ID / Touch ID and AES-256-GCM encryption with keys stored in the iOS Keychain. HOME MANAGEMENT Browse your complete HomeKit environment in real time. View every service and characteristic for any accessory. Rename, reorder, and delete rooms, scenes, and automations directly from the app. Your custom order is saved per home. BATTERY MONITORING See all battery-powered accessories in one place with current charge levels, low-battery warnings, and color-coded status indicators. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS Get alerted when health checks find problems -- unreachable devices, blocked accessories, low battery, stale backups, latency issues, border router changes, or HomeKit configuration changes. Configure thresholds, enable individual alert categories, and send test notifications. Smart throttling keeps notifications helpful, not noisy. SCHEDULED BACKUPS Set daily, every-3-day, or weekly automatic backups via iOS background tasks. Never forget to back up your setup. IMPORT & EXPORT Export any snapshot as JSON. Import backups on any device running HomeFreeze, with full support for encrypted backup containers and password-protected files. APPEARANCE Glass-morphism dark mode design with Auto, Light, or Dark mode settings. LOCALIZATION Fully localized in English and German. PRIVACY FIRST No tracking. No analytics. No third-party SDKs.
