Big Homescreen is an Android home screen launcher built from the ground up for US seniors who want their phone to feel simple, familiar, and genuinely easy to use—every single day. No tiny icons. No confusing menus. Just your most important apps and information, big and clear, right where you need them. ── SAFETY FIRST ── The one-tap SOS button connects you to emergency services in seconds. A large, full-screen confirmation screen prevents accidental calls—while making sure help is never more than one tap away. ── THREE SIMPLE PANELS ── Swipe left or right to move between: • Home – Your favorite apps, large and easy to tap • Info – Today's weather and top news stories • Tools – Flashlight, magnifier, camera & handy shortcuts ── BUILT FOR REAL READABILITY ── Text is larger than standard Android. High-contrast colors meet the highest accessibility standards (WCAG AAA). Everything is designed to be comfortable to read—even in bright sunlight. ── FIND ANY APP IN SECONDS ── The smart app drawer sorts apps by name, most used, or most recent. Type a few letters to search instantly. No more hunting through page after page of icons. ── STAY INFORMED EVERY DAY ── Check local weather in Fahrenheit, updated hourly. Browse top stories from trusted US sources—Fox News, ABC News, CBS News, NPR, and more—organized into categories like Top Stories, Health, Business, and Local. ── EVERYDAY TOOLS, ONE TAP AWAY ── • Flashlight – tap to toggle, instant response • Magnifier – up to 4× zoom, with built-in light • QR & barcode scanner • Quick camera access • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth & brightness shortcuts ── MADE FOR SENIORS, NOT JUST SIMPLIFIED ── Most launchers just blow up the font size. Big Homescreen is designed around how older adults actually use their phones—fewer steps, smarter defaults, and nothing unnecessary in the way. A family member can help set it up once. After that, it stays simple, every single day. Big Homescreen is free. ──────────────────── Permissions used: • Location: Local weather only.
