Weather2day is a weather app for Israel featuring rain radar, hourly and 12-day forecasts, official alerts and warnings from the Israel Meteorological Service (IMS), and real-time weather observations from stations across the country. The rain radar uses data from the IMS and displays precipitation on Google Maps. View animated radar images, arrows showing the direction of rain clouds, and a near-term forecast of storm-cloud paths. You can also find your location on the map, add road, watershed and stream layers, and choose different map backgrounds. Real-time weather measurements Weather2day uses observations from more than 200 professional weather stations throughout Israel. These include stations operated by the IMS, Ministry of Agriculture, Water Authority and private operators, some of which are available exclusively in the app. Temperature, wind, humidity and rainfall readings come from ground stations. Unlike model-based forecasts, these are actual measurements of conditions in different parts of the country. Weather maps and forecast models The app includes forecast maps based on regional weather models such as ICON, ICON-EU, COSMO and WRF. They show temperature, humidity, wind and precipitation at different atmospheric levels, from the surface up to 500 hPa. Additional maps include cloud cover, satellite imagery, heat stress and other weather data for Israel, the Middle East and Europe. Community weather reports Weather2day users can share weather reports, photos and videos from locations across Israel. These reports appear in the app and provide another way to follow conditions on the ground. The app is regularly updated with improvements to maps, weather data and existing features.
