Most devices filter out signals above approximately 22 kHz. Increasing the setting cannot recover signals removed by the device, so it is normal to see only faint noise below −60 dB in this range. On some devices, audio processing may produce stronger noise at specific frequencies, such as 48 kHz or 96 kHz.
