10月23日的GameLock: Gambling Blocker应用程序分析

GameLock is the app for people who have decided to stop gambling and want a real barrier against relapse in the moments when the urge hits. More than a simple list, GameLock blocks access to betting sites right on your device, in any browser or app, using a local VPN that runs only on your phone. The block keeps working even with the app closed, and your browsing history is never collected. A BLOCK THAT HOLDS THE URGE BACK - Blocks betting sites and apps across your whole phone, not just in one browser - Stays active in the background, even with the app closed - More than 800,000 gambling addresses, kept up to date by the GameLock team - Smart rules catch new betting sites as they appear, including the ones that change their name every week HOW THE BLOCK WORKS (local VPN) GameLock's block relies on Android's VPN (VpnService) — that is what lets it protect the whole device, not just one browser. It is a local VPN, created inside your own phone: - It only filters the addresses (DNS) of betting sites and stops them from opening - It does not send your internet traffic to outside servers, does not change your location and does not slow you down - It does not collect, store or share your browsing data You authorize the VPN once. OPTIONAL REINFORCEMENTS - Reinforced block: uses Android's accessibility service to read the address of the page open in your browser and close it when it is a betting site. The reading happens only on the device, just to compare it with the block list — nothing is collected, stored or sent. - Prevent uninstalling: turns on device admin to make it harder to remove the app in a moment of impulse. It does not collect data. To turn it off, go to Settings > Security > Device admin apps on Android. - Accountability partner: someone you choose who can release the block for you. Without a partner, the only way out is through support, with a 72-hour wait. SEE WHAT YOU ARE SAVING - Track your gambling-free days, streaks and urges overcome - Record what you would have bet and watch your savings grow - The numbers in front of you: the best argument against the next bet DISTRACT YOUR MIND - Relaxing puzzles to keep your head busy when the craving hits - An SOS button with quick help for moments of crisis - A news feed built from the topics you like Gambling is as addictive as any drug, and quitting alone is hard. GameLock is the barrier that protects you from yourself at the worst moment — the one when "just one more bet" seems like a good idea. Take the first step to take back control.
