Your English works. You read, write and do your job in it. But when you have to answer out loud, with no time to think, what comes out is short, correct sentences, and you sound simpler than you are.
Wispy is English speaking practice made for exactly that gap. You understand far more than you say: thousands of words you recognise, a few hundred you actually use. Wispy brings the ones you already know into your speech and shows how many of them you have said yourself.
REHEARSE THE CONVERSATION AHEAD
Name a real conversation that is coming up, in your own words: "apartment viewing on Thursday", "standup, and my task is stuck", "job interview, they will ask about a conflict". Wispy finds a similar situation and someone to rehearse it with: a team lead, a landlord, a doctor, an interviewer, an investor. In many situations they message you first, with a face, a name and a voice, and you can answer right away, by voice or text. Short prep from the lessons, then the conversation itself. You can mark when it happens: today, tomorrow or every week.
Out loud, with an AI partner. No tutor, no speaking club, nobody listening. Get it wrong as many times as you need.
AFTER EVERY CONVERSATION
A breakdown with no grades and no praise. Which of your words you used and which you went around. Moments quoted from what you actually said. If you said "I like" the whole conversation, it notices and offers prefer or be into. For an awkward line, the way people actually say it.
ONLY WHAT YOU SAY YOURSELF COUNTS
Picking from options doesn't count. Recognising a word on a card doesn't count. Saying it yourself, in your own sentence, in a live conversation, does. Everything you have said yourself stays in your profile, with your own sentences.
WHERE THE WORDS COME FROM
Situations from work and from life abroad. Short lessons on the day's news. Topics from shows, sports and games: House of the Dragon, Formula 1, UFC, GTA VI and more, with the phrases fans actually use. Frequency word lists and your own dictionary. A Home Screen widget brings back the words that are due.
WHO IT'S FOR
People who already have English. Who work in international teams or live abroad, read without a dictionary, and go quiet on a call, at the doctor or at a party. Not for beginners: Wispy does not start from zero.
WHY NOT JUST TALK TO AN AI CHATBOT?
It can hold a good conversation. It just won't notice that you lean on the same twenty words the whole time, won't offer a replacement, and doesn't keep track of what you have actually said yourself.
FOR TEACHERS
Paste the words from your lesson: Wispy finds the meanings and gives you a link for your students. You see which words each student has already said on their own. Their conversations and sentences stay private.
FREE AND PAID
Free: the dictionary, the news lessons and the topics, without limits, plus one trial conversation. Then one subscription, monthly or yearly, with a free trial week.
