Earthquake M4.5+ uses official data from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and helps you quickly see where earthquakes are happening, how strong they are, and how far they are from you. STAY INFORMED • See earthquakes from the past day, week, or month • Filter by magnitude: M2.5+ or M4.5+ • Color-coded rows make stronger earthquakes easy to spot • View epicenters on an interactive map with Standard, Hybrid, and Satellite modes • See your current location alongside each earthquake’s epicenter • Automatically refresh the earthquake list every 5 minutes while the app is open EARTHQUAKE ALERTS Get notified when an earthquake occurs at or above the magnitude you choose in Settings, from M2.5+ to M7.0+. New earthquakes are checked in the background. iOS determines when background checks run, so notifications may arrive some time after an earthquake occurs. EXPLORE EACH EARTHQUAKE • Open detailed earthquake information on the USGS website • Share earthquake information with friends and family • On iPad, view the earthquake list and map side by side NEARBY NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS For each earthquake, see the two nuclear power plants nearest to the epicenter, including their distance. Read the related Wikipedia article, with an optional translation. PRIVACY Your location is used only to show your position on the map. It is never sent to a server. IMPORTANT Earthquake data is provided by the USGS. This app is an earthquake information and tracking tool, not an earthquake early warning system.
