Análisis de la app Shelf: Books with Friends para 23 de octubre

Shelf is a catalogue of the books you own, the ones you have read, and the lines you kept from them. Your shelf is your profile. Opening a friend's shelf feels like standing in front of the bookcase in their living room, reading the spines. ADD A BOOK IN SECONDS Scan the barcode on the back. Point the camera at the cover and Shelf reads it without sending the picture anywhere. Or type the title and pick it from the catalogue. The author, the cover, the page count, and the blurb arrive with it. KNOW WHERE YOU ARE Move the bookmark to the page you reached. Start a sitting when you sit down and Shelf counts the minutes, on the lock screen, while you read. Finish a book and the date stays with it. THE LINES YOU KEEP Save a quote with the page it came from. Write the thought you had next to it. Both stay with the book, and a widget puts one of them back in front of you weeks later. FRIENDS, NOT FOLLOWERS Hand over your friend code or let someone scan your bookplate, and your shelves open to each other. The feed carries what your friends started, finished, and thought, and you can answer. No strangers, no follower counts, nothing ranked by a machine. A BOOK CLUB THAT HIDES THE SPOILERS Start a club, pick the book, agree on a pace. Every thought is pinned to a page, so nobody reads past where they have got to. Put books forward, vote on the next one, and the meeting turns up on everyone's lock screen on the day. YOUR SHELF ON THE HOME SCREEN Five widgets: the book you are in the middle of, this year's pages and your streak, a line you kept, what your friends are reading, and one plank of your shelf. Two of them draw on the lock screen too. YOUR YEAR IN BOOKS Every December, Shelf turns the year into cards worth keeping: the books, the hours, the longest sitting, the month you read the most. IT WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL The shelf lives on your phone. Add a book, log pages, or write a thought on a plane, and Shelf catches up when you land. SHELF PRO Hosting a book club and building shelves of your own need Shelf Pro. Joining a club, joining a friend's shelf, and the three shelves you start with are free. Shelf reads in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and Simplified Chinese. Every screen follows VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion, and the rest of the system accessibility settings.
