See your Obsidian tasks on your Android Home Screen and get real push notifications for due and scheduled work. TaskForge turns the Markdown to-do list in your vault into a real app: it reads and writes your task files, keeps everything on your device, and works with the Obsidian Tasks and TaskNotes formats you already use. ══════════════════════ KEY FEATURES ══════════════════════ ◆ WORKS WITH YOUR AI Your tasks are plain Markdown files in your vault. Set multiple reminders per task. ◆ HOME SCREEN WIDGETS See Obsidian tasks without opening any app. Check off tasks from widgets. Widgets for Today, Overdue, #tags, or any saved filter. ◆ CALENDAR & KANBAN VIEWS See tasks by due date, scheduled date, or start date. Connect your device calendars to view and manage events alongside tasks. Kanban board with drag-and-drop. ◆ FULL OBSIDIAN TASKS COMPATIBILITY Works with Obsidian Tasks plugin format. Due/scheduled dates, priorities, tags, and recurrence are all supported. ◆ TASKNOTES SUPPORT TaskForge reads and writes TaskNotes YAML format with customizable field mapping. ◆ CUSTOM FILTERED LISTS Create task views with advanced conditions. Its core purpose is to LOCATE, READ, EDIT, and ORGANIZE Markdown (.md) task files across user-selected folders in shared storage (internal, SD card, or sync folders). To do this, TaskForge requires Android's special "All files access" (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE). Without this permission, the app cannot perform its core file-management functions. TaskForge functions as a specialized FILE MANAGER for your Markdown task files. The app must: • Read files in user-selected folders (outside app storage) • Process large, nested folders with many Markdown files • Write updates back to ORIGINAL files when you create, edit, or complete tasks • Monitor files for real-time changes WHY "ALL FILES ACCESS" IS NEEDED Obsidian vaults can live anywhere (internal storage, SD card, 3rd-party sync roots). To provide persistent, real-time file management across these locations, TaskForge requests MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and operates on the folder you choose. We DO NOT upload or collect your files; data stays on device. ══════════════════════ PRIVACY & COMPATIBILITY ══════════════════════ • No data collected; works offline after setup • Works alongside your sync solution (Syncthing, FolderSync, Drive, Dropbox, etc.) • Your files remain plain-text Markdown and fully portable • Not affiliated with or endorsed by Obsidian.md, OpenAI, or Anthropic ══════════════════════ FREE & PREMIUM ══════════════════════ Core task management is free. TaskForge Pro unlocks: • Calendar event management • Multiple notification times • Home screen widgets • Per-task reminders • Unlimited custom lists • Kanban board view Download TaskForge: your vault, your tasks, your home screen.
