Análisis de la app SSH Term para 5 de octubre

SSH that actually works on a phone. SSH Term is a modern Android SSH client built for how you actually use your phone: quick checks on the move, long sessions that survive screen sleep, one-handed operation without a physical keyboard, and reading remote code without leaving the terminal. WHY DEVELOPERS PICK SSH TERM → Sessions survive Wi-Fi drops, tunnels, and backgrounding. A foreground service keeps your SSH connection alive while you switch apps. → Built-in SFTP browser with syntax-highlighted preview for 40+ languages — read remote code without piping cat into less. → Generate Ed25519 / RSA keypairs in-app, copy the public key with one tap. Set up key auth without touching a desktop. → Multi-tab sessions, per-host bookmarks, an input-assist toolbar (Ctrl/Tab/Esc/F-keys/arrows), 8 themes (Tokyo Night, Catppuccin, Dracula, ...). WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT Most mobile SSH clients are either stuck in 2014 or hide essentials behind a subscription. SSH Term is built fresh — no subscription, no required cloud account, no telemetry. Credentials stay on your device. SFTP BROWSER WITH CODE PREVIEW Browse remote files from inside the terminal session. 40+ languages with syntax highlighting (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Rust, Dart, Shell, and more). Two-pane layout on tablets shows the file list and preview side by side. One-tap copy to clipboard, rename, delete. BUILT FOR BAD NETWORKS A foreground service keeps SSH connections alive across app switches and screen sleep. Auto-reconnect with exponential backoff handles Wi-Fi and cellular handover transparently. Pairs well with tmux for sessions that survive anything. KEY AUTH FROM YOUR PHONE ALONE Generate Ed25519 (recommended), RSA 2048, or RSA 4096 keypairs directly in the app. Copy the public key with one tap, paste into ~/.ssh/authorized_keys, done. No desktop required. TOUCH-FRIENDLY TERMINAL UX - Input-assist toolbar: Ctrl+C / Tab / Esc / arrows / F1–F12 / Home/End/PgUp/PgDn - Drag, double-tap, long-press text selection - 10 monospace fonts: Fira Code, JetBrains Mono, Source Code Pro, and more - 8 readable themes: Dracula, Nord, Tokyo Night, Monokai, Solarized Dark, Gruvbox, Catppuccin Mocha, One Dark - Customizable background image MULTI-TAB SESSIONS Run multiple SSH connections side by side. Monitor logs in one tab while editing files in another, or compare prod/staging at the same time. BOOKMARKS Bookmark frequently visited directories and files per host. Jump to your project's src folder or log directory with a single tap. CONNECTION PROFILES Save server credentials once. Connect with a single tap. All credentials encrypted at rest. GREAT WITH AI CODING AGENTS If you run Claude Code, Aider, Codex, or similar agents on a home machine, SSH Term turns your phone into a remote control: kick off a long task, switch apps, come back when it's done. The SFTP preview lets you read what the agent wrote without leaving the terminal. 3 AUTH METHODS - Password - Public key (file-based or in-app generated) - Keyboard-interactive PRIVACY & SECURITY - All credentials encrypted at rest - No cloud sync, no telemetry, no account required - SSH keys stay on your device - Optional screen lock (biometric / PIN) ALSO: CJK INPUT THAT ACTUALLY WORKS A dedicated IME mode for Japanese, Korean, and Chinese input — most mobile SSH clients can't handle CJK input cleanly. SSH Term does, including 6 bundled Japanese fonts (Noto Sans JP, M PLUS 1 Code, and more). A practical SSH client for developers, sysadmins, and infrastructure engineers who actually use their phones for work.
