Rulomi turns a sentence you type into a phone automation. Type something like "every weekday at 10 pm turn on do not disturb and set media volume to 20%", and Rulomi shows you the routine it built, with the trigger, the actions in order, and any conditions. Nothing runs until you've reviewed it and granted the specific Android access it needs. Private by design Your routines, history and settings stay in private app storage. When the on-device planner understands a description, that description never leaves your phone. If you turn on the optional AI planner, a description the on-device planner can't place is sent off the phone to be interpreted, and you can switch that off at any time. There's no account to create, no API key to enter, and no ads or analytics. Common routines People use Rulomi to schedule Do Not Disturb at bedtime, change the volume when headphones connect, lower the brightness when the battery runs low, turn on the flashlight with a shake, or have one app's notifications read out loud. Triggers A time on the days you choose, charging start or charger disconnect, a battery threshold, Wi-Fi connecting or dropping, a Bluetooth device connecting, headphones in or out, a shake, turning the phone face down, covering the proximity sensor, the room getting dark or very bright, the screen turning landscape or portrait, an app posting a notification, or opening or leaving an app you pick. Opening and leaving an app need Android's usage access, which Rulomi explains before asking for it. Actions A reminder, spoken text, any of the four volumes, ringer mode, brightness, screen timeout, auto-rotate on or off, the flashlight, Do Not Disturb, a wait, and dismissing one app's notifications. A routine can chain up to eight actions in order, with an optional "restore everything after…" step. Notification routines Rulomi can run a routine when an app you choose posts a notification, and it can read that notification out or put its words into your own reminder. This needs Android's notification access, the most far-reaching permission Rulomi asks for, and reading notifications is exactly what Android designed that access for. Each notification is read on your phone, checked against your enabled routines, and then discarded. Nothing about a notification is stored, sent, or included in a backup. Rulomi deliberately can't reply to a notification or press its buttons. Honest about Android Battery optimisation can delay scheduled routines, and Rulomi tells you when that happens. Motion triggers only work while the screen is on, because watching them with the screen off would mean holding a wake lock, and Rulomi won't do that. What this first version leaves out Location triggers, naming a specific Wi-Fi network, replying to messages, and workflows that tap the screen for you.
