The primary reason for the small amount available is this particular Hojary frankincense is harvested from the very top of the tree. In addition, there isn't necessarily a harvest of this prized frankincense every year due to climate conditions. Sultan's Choice Light Green Hojary frankincense offers you the lemon, lime and eucalyptus scent that has been treasured for centuries. It is said to be the ultimate in mind, body and soul purification. In the past many of the frankincense trees in Oman have been over-harvested and not properly rested, forcing harvesters to travel further into the desert for quality resins. Economic growth and the expansion of towns, homes and businesses are also encroaching upon trees. The long-term survival of the international frankincense trade of Oman resins is now in the hands of the Sultanate of Oman.
