Can't find the remote, or the batteries just died? Remote for LG TVs turns your Android phone into a remote control for your LG smart TV (webOS). It works over your home Wi-Fi and finds the TV on its own. No account, no cables, no IR blaster. This is an independent app made by Swift Apps. It is not an official LG app. What you can do • Turn the TV volume up or down with your phone's own volume buttons while the remote is open. No need to look at the screen. • All the everyday keys: arrows and OK, Back, Home, Menu, Input, mute, channels and power off. Hold an arrow, volume or channel key and it keeps going. • A number pad for channels, or a swipe pad if you'd rather swipe than tap. • Play, pause, stop, rewind and fast-forward, plus the color keys, Search, Guide, Info and CC. • Switch HDMI inputs from your TV's own input list. • Open any app installed on your TV from a list you can search. • Type with your phone keyboard instead of the on-screen one. Handy for search boxes and passwords (a text box has to be open on the TV). • Touchpad mode moves the TV pointer like a mouse, with scroll buttons for the web browser. • Show a photo or video from your phone on the TV, one at a time. • Five remote layouts, including dark and large keys, with optional vibration and click sound. • Your phone screen stays on while the remote is open, so it's ready when you need it. • The app remembers your TV and reconnects next time. Have more than one LG TV? Pick the one you want from the list. Getting connected 1. Turn on the TV and make sure your phone is on the same Wi-Fi network. 2. Open the app and tap your TV in the list. 3. The first time, accept the request on the TV (or type in the PIN it shows). After that it connects by itself. Tip: pair the app while your old remote still works. Then you're covered if it ever goes missing. TV not showing up? Use your home network rather than mobile data or a guest network, turn off any VPN on the phone, and check that AP (client) isolation is off on your router. Good to know • Works with LG smart TVs running webOS, which covers most models from 2014 onward. Older NetCast models, non-smart TVs and other brands are not supported. • It's Wi-Fi only, with no infrared. The app can turn the TV off, but not back on. • A few keys depend on your TV model, and casting depends on the formats your TV can play. • Needs Android 7.0 or newer. Ads and Remote Pro The app is supported by ads. If you'd rather not see them, Remote Pro removes all ads. Every remote feature works the same with or without it. Remote Pro is available as a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
