On 12 August 2026 the Moon's shadow sweeps across Greenland, Iceland and then Spain, from Galicia and Asturias down to the Mediterranean coast and the Balearics: the first total solar eclipse visible from mainland Spain in over a century, and a deep partial one across the rest of Europe.
