This file management is essential for all other features of the app. The MediaStore API is insufficient as it cannot see non-media files or browse these locations. This is why the app requires "All Files Access." MEDIA SERVER (UPnP/DLNA & HTTP WEB UI) Once you've organized your files, use the built-in media servers to stream and manage them across your network. Stream videos, music, and photos to your Smart TV, console (PS/Xbox), or PC. Full UPnP/DLNA compatibility, now featuring advanced sorting and subtitle options. New HTTP Web Server: Access your device via a web browser! Now features built-in audio and video web players, drag-and-select file management, full folder uploading, and the ability to extract ZIP files remotely. The MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE ("All Files Access") permission is required for this core feature to work. Without this permission, the app is "broken" and unusable because: It cannot see non-media files (like PDFs, DOCs, ZIPs, APKs). It cannot access the Download folder. It cannot access external USB drives or SD cards. The MediaStore API is not sufficient as it only provides access to media files in media folders, which breaks the app's core file management purpose.
