From April 20 to 23, 2026, the IAC3 hosts the Gravitational-Wave Open Data Workshop 2026 Study Hub at its facilities in ParcBit. This initiative is part of an international program dedicated to training in gravitational-wave data analysis using open data from the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA Collaboration. The workshop combines live-streamed lectures with locally coordinated hands-on tutorials, offering participants a comprehensive introduction to the tools and methods used to detect and analyze signals from compact binary coalescences. The scientific program is structured to progressively guide participants through the main aspects of gravitational-wave data analysis. It begins with foundational topics such as gravitational-wave physics, access to open data, and signal processing. It then moves to core areas of compact binary coalescence science, including detector characterization and search techniques. The final sessions address advanced methods such as parameter estimation and hierarchical inference, and conclude with an overview of future challenges in next-generation detectors and space missions such as LISA. Hands-on tutorials are held throughout the workshop, enabling participants to apply these techniques directly using real data. Primarily aimed at undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students, the workshop is also open to more senior researchers interested in the field. Participants are encouraged to have basic experience in Python programming and familiarity with statistical methods. The hybrid format allows flexible participation, including partial attendance, and certificates are provided to those who successfully complete the workshop. The program features contributions from international experts and is complemented by local coordination at UIB by members of IAC3, who lead the practical sessions and support participants throughout the event.
