The Simon FM mobile app is intended to be used in conjunction with the Simon FM web application. After using the web application to setup your facility, machines, and job plans, the Simon FM mobile app will allow your technicians to perform the maintenance inspections that are associated with those job plans. Since Simon FM only requires internet connection when syncing, the technician will be able to pull down their inspections/work orders before heading out to any/all remote areas. While not connected to the internet, the technician will still be able to perform the inspection, record data, and complete the inspection. After they regain internet connectivity, they can then sync their data back up to the server, thus fully closing out the inspection. In addition, the app offers bar code scanning of machine labels, thus ensuring the correct machine for the inspection has been found.
