Pilar Vega is a talented Swiss R&B/Neo Soul singer of Caribbean origin. She grew up in Ticino and currently lives in Zurich, but people are starting to talk about her all over Switzerland as well as in Italy, France and Germany. Pilar won’t let you label her as just an R&B singer and songwriter because she is in constant need of extending her boundaries by collaborating with a wide range of talents and genres. In 2019 for example, she was involved in three very different tracks: Slowdown (with Swiss artist Tatum Rush), Romeo 6 (with Italian rapper Al Denaro), and Redempion (with Zurich EDM star Cella). Each track is carried by Pilar’s uniquely sensual voice and her powerfully feminine lyrics. In 2020 Pilar released the singles Crème, La Boca (presented at M4Music 2021), Glow (chosen by Swiss radio stations as best song of the month for February 2021) and Manipule (her first French speaking song). In august 2021 she released Yemaya in collaboration with Mercee, another singer based in Zurich. Pilar released recently her first EP called Women which got played by BBC Radio, Global Soul Radio and Couleur 3. 2022 saw her playing concerts and festivals all over Switzerland, while she was also releasing new singles like "CHILD" or "Intimate" in collaborations with artists and producers such as SENTO and Amos Joan. Taking a turn towards reggaeton and adding a latin touch as well as Spanish lyrics to her music with her 2023 singles "Nemesis" and "Novelas", Pilar played all the big festivals in Switzerland throughout the year: m4music, Zermatt Unplugged, Montreux Jazz Festival, Gurtenfestival, Openair St. Gallen, Zurich Openair, Luzern Live and so on. For 2024, the Swiss singer with the very international approach has a whole new EP ready for May, with four single releases between January and May, which will lay the ground her new album.
