Attending the Bentonville Bike Festival was an experience I will never forget. As a mountain biker and cyclist, and a supporter of outdoor events, I was eagerly looking forward to this festival. I had heard so much about the trails in Bentonville and was excited to finally experience them firsthand. Little did I know that this trip would be a rollercoaster filled with unexpected challenges and unforgettable moments. Arrival and First Impressions As soon as I arrived in Bentonville, I could feel the buzz of excitement in the air. The town was alive with fellow bikers, families, and athletes of all ages, all gathered for one common passion: biking. The festival grounds were bustling with activity—vendors setting up their booths, riders gearing up for the trails, and the sound of bike tires on dirt paths and carefully curated flow lines. It was a beautiful sight, and I couldn't wait to dive in. The first day was all about exploring. I spent hours wandering through the festival, checking out the latest gear, meeting some incredible people, and setting up our very own Send It booth. The sense of community was palpable, and I felt right at home among other mountain biking aficionados. I even had the chance to test ride some new bikes and chat with industry experts about the latest goods. The Trails of Bentonville One of the highlights of the festival was, of course, the trails. Bentonville is renowned for its extensive network of bike trails, and they did not disappoint. From amatuer jump lines and paths to challenging technical routes, there was something for everyone. I decided to start with a moderate trail to get a feel for the terrain - The Coler. Fun jumps and flows made for an easy warmup. As I pedaled through lush forests and along scenic ridges (although, admittedly, not quite as scenic as some of the ridges in Colorado), I was reminded of why I fell in love with mountain biking in the first place.
