In 2014, the Bulgarian Government had been reviewing a draft of a proposed National Strategy for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The text had been submitted to the Council of Ministers in January 2014, having been drafted by a dedicated Working Group headed by Dr Latchezar Traikov, Professor of Medicine at the University of Sofia, which had included Alzheimer Bulgaria.
