Joe Kuzma is a graduate of Youngstown State University with a degree in Professional Writing and Editing. Born and raised in another “Steel City” — Youngstown, Ohio — he’s spent much of his life traveling to Pittsburgh for craft brewery stops, Pens and Pirates games, and of course, nearly every Steelers home game (and plenty of road trips, too). A writer by training and a digital‑media problem‑solver by trade, Joe blends his backgrounds in English, journalism, web development, and social media management to support everything he creates. When he’s not producing new content, recording a podcast, or refining SCU’s editorial workflow, he’s usually finding a new way to upgrade his tailgating setup or diving into another Steelers storyline. Joe founded Steel City Underground in 2014 to channel his passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers into something bigger than social‑media debates. In 2016, he expanded the platform to include weekly podcasts, helping SCU grow into a trusted multi‑format destination for Steelers Nation. Outside of Pittsburgh sports, Joe enjoys traveling, movies, and TV — and he brings more than 20 years of soccer officiating experience to the table.
